Korean cuisine–focused frozen food manufacturer Saongwon announced on the 20th that it has launched two new products: “Boneless Monkfish Tempura 400g” and “Boneless Monkfish Tempura 1kg.”
The product features bite-sized pieces of premium boneless monkfish that are fried to achieve a moist and delicate texture, making them suitable for a variety of dishes.
It also includes a special yuzu soy sauce, which adds a sweet-and-tangy umami flavor that pairs well with salads and appeals to a wide range of consumers.
The new product is an HMR (Home Meal Replacement) item designed for convenience, using boneless monkfish so that consumers can enjoy the dish without the hassle of preparation.
Reflecting trends such as the growth of single-person households and the rise of home drinking and snack culture, the product was developed as a “premium Korean-style dish that can be enjoyed easily even during a busy day.”
A Saongwon representative stated, “Traditional monkfish dishes typically require dining out or extensive preparation, but this Boneless Monkfish Tempura can be conveniently enjoyed straight from frozen using an air fryer or frying pan.”
The representative added, “We aim to position this product as one that delivers both convenience and high quality in the Korean HMR market.”
